CD 1: Diana Ross & The Supremes "Love Child"

This 1968 LP by The Supremes was issued on CD in 1986. Like most un-remastered older CD's, the music was directly recorded from analog source tapes, and the sound quality isn't up to par as compared to more recent releases from Universal-Motown.

Only 2 singles were released from this album: the hit title track, and the flop "Some Things You Never Get Used To".

The rest of the album is filler, but many of the cuts are still quality and listenable, especially "Keep An Eye", "How Long Has That Evening Train Been Gone", "He's My Sunny Boy" and "I'll Set You Free".

In my opinion, one of the best albums from the latter era of the Ross-led Supremes.

I LOVE the album covers!!

I grew up outside of Detroit...so many wonderful music memories... Motown is literally the soundtrack of my life.

Cool QTC - stay tuned, because I have a decent Supremes collection that I'll be posting here & there. Motown is definitely one of the best labels (and most influential) of all time.
